Why OSSA Is Changing
Share
You may have noticed something different lately.
A new mark. A name without "Foil Boards" attached to it. It's not a redesign for the sake of change — it's OSSA finally looking like what it was always supposed to be.
Here's the story behind it.
I've been a pro in this industry for 10 years. I rode for other brands before OSSA existed, and I never found one I actually believed in. Wakesurf riders already had their brand loyalties locked in — but wake foiling was just starting to take off, and almost nobody was tied to a brand yet. That's where I saw the opening.
But the real gap wasn't just in the sport. It was in the design.
Boats got cleaner. Fashion got cleaner — brands like Vuori and Bylt built entire identities around that Nautique-and-BMW level of simplicity and quality. Wake foil boards didn't move with them. Busy graphics. No sense of craft. Nothing that matched the caliber of the boats people were riding behind or the brands they wore on land.
I wanted to build that standard, not just into the board, but into the whole brand.
That's what this rebrand actually is. A simplified mark. A name that isn't boxed into "foil boards" anymore, because OSSA isn't stopping there — new disciplines, new boards, new gear are all coming. The identity needed to match where this is actually going, not just where it started.
This is a slow transition, not an overnight flip. You'll see it show up gradually. New logo, new look, new product graphics, as we roll into the 2027 lineup.
Same standard. New look. Follow along as it comes together.
